Entry Requirements

National Diploma (ND) in Forestry & Environmental Technology

Candidates must possess a Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSSC) or its equivalent such as WASC, SSCE, NECO, NABTEB with credit passes in five (5) subjects obtained at not more than two sittings. The subjects must include:

• Biology or Agricultural Science
• English Language
• Mathematics
• Any two from the following:
  • Geography
  • Food and Nutrition
  • Economics / Commerce
  • Technical Drawing
  • Physics
  • Chemistry
  • Nigerian Language
  • Home Economics / Home Management
  • French Language
  • Crop Husbandry
  • Animal Husbandry
  • Fisheries
  • Forestry
  • Computer Studies

Note: At least a pass in Chemistry is compulsory.

Higher National Diploma (HND) in Forestry & Environmental Technology

Candidates may be admitted into the HND programme if they possess:

• A National Diploma (ND) in any of the following related fields:
  • Agricultural Technology
  • Horticultural Technology
  • Forestry & Environmental Technology
  • Irrigation Agronomy Technology
  • Innovation Agriculture (NID)
• A minimum of Lower Credit pass in the ND from an NBTE-accredited programme
• At least one-year post-ND industrial training/work experience in a relevant field

Note: Candidates with a Pass level ND and a minimum of two years of relevant post-ND work experience may also be considered.
