Entry Requirements

National Diploma (ND) in Civil Engineering Technology

Candidates must possess credit passes in five (5) relevant subjects in the SSCE, GCE, or NTC obtained at not more than two sittings. The subjects must include:

  • English Language
  • Mathematics
  • Physics
  • Chemistry
  • One other subject from the following:
    • Biology / Agricultural Science
    • Technical Drawing
    • Basic Electronics / Basic Electricity
    • Auto Mechanics
    • Metal Work
    • Woodwork (for Civil Engineering Technology)
    • Further Mathematics
    • Geography
    • Economics / Commerce
    • Food and Nutrition

Higher National Diploma (HND) in Civil Engineering Technology

Candidates may be admitted into the HND programme if they possess:

  • All the requirements for admission into the ND programme
  • A National Diploma (ND) with a minimum of Lower Credit pass in Civil Engineering Technology obtained from an NBTE-accredited programme
  • At least one-year post-ND cognate work experience in the field of specialisation
  • OR a Pass level ND with a minimum of two years of relevant post-ND work experience
NATIONAL DIPLOMA (ND) Credit passes in five relevant subjects (in SSCE/GCE/NTC) in not more than two sittings in the following relevant subjects: English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and one other subject from: Biology/Agricultural Science, Technical Drawing, Basic Electronics/Basic Electricity, Auto mechanics, Metal Work, Woodwork (for Civil Engineering Technology), Father Mathematics, Geography, Economics/Commerce, Food and Nutrition, etc.
