Entry Requirements

General HND Admission Requirements

Applicants who possess the following qualifications may be considered for direct admission into Higher National Diploma (HND) programmes:

• National Diploma (ND) with a minimum of Lower Credit pass in the relevant discipline obtained from an NBTE-accredited programme, plus at least one year of post-ND cognate work experience.
• Candidates with an ND at Pass level must have a minimum of two years of post-ND work experience in the field of specialization.

HND Crop Production Technology

Admission Requirements: Candidates must possess an ND in any of the following:

• ND Agricultural Technology
• ND Horticultural Technology
• ND Forestry & Environmental Technology (ND Forestry Technology)
• ND Irrigation Agronomy Technology
• NID Innovation Agriculture

HND Agricultural Extension & Management

Admission Requirements: Candidates must possess an ND in any of the following:

• ND Wildlife and Eco-Tourism Management
• ND Agricultural Technology
• ND Irrigation Agronomy Technology
• ND Animal Health & Production Technology
• ND Home & Rural Economics
• ND Forestry & Environmental Technology (ND Forestry Technology)
• ND Fisheries Technology
• ND Horticultural Technology
• ND Veterinary Laboratory Technology
• ND Wood & Paper Technology
• ND Agricultural Bio-Environmental Engineering Technology
• NID Innovation Agriculture

ND Agricultural Technology

Admission Requirements:

Five (5) credit passes at not more than two sittings in any of the following:

• Biology/Agricultural Science
• English Language
• Mathematics
• Any two of the following subjects:
  • Geography
  • Food and Nutrition
  • Economics/Commerce
  • Technical Drawing
  • Physics
  • Chemistry (At least a pass in Chemistry is compulsory)
  • Nigerian Language
  • Home Economics/Home Management
  • French Language
  • Crop Husbandry
  • Animal Husbandry
  • Fisheries
  • Forestry
  • Computer Studies
