COUNCIL VISITS EMIR OF BAUCHI
The 12th Governing Council of the Polytechnic has visited the Emir of Bauchi Dr. Rilwanu Sulaimanu Adamu, CFR, at his Palace on Thursday 28th November, 2024.
The visit is part of a tradition started by successive Governing Councils of the Polytechnic, aimed at familiarising with the Emirate Council and seeking the blessings of the traditional institution.
During the visit, Chairman of Council, Surv. Mohammed Nadu Yahaya, mni, told the Emir that they were at the Palace to introduce themselves to him and members of his Council and enumerate series of activities outlined by the Governing Council for implementation.
He said as a Technical and Vocational Education Training (TVET) institution, the Federal Polytechnic Bauchi has come up with skills acquisition programmes that promise to take the youth off the street.
In his response, the Emir of Bauchi, Dr. Rilwanu Sulaimanu Adamu, CFR, appreciated the Council for calling on the Palace and tasked the new Governing Council to give in their best in order to leave a lasting legacy in the history of the Polytechnic.
Giving a vote of thanks, the Rector of the Polytechnic, Alh. Sani Usman, MCPN, applauded the Emirate for always standing with the Polytechnic even in its most trying times and prayed to Allah to guide the Emir in the onerous task of leading his people.
