Welcome to the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics
The Department of Nutrition and dietetics was established in 2012. Nutrition and Dietetics started as a programme in the Department of Food Science and Technology in the year 2004 and now has been established as a department.
Goals and Objectives of the Department:
- To produce National Diploma graduates as assistant Nutritionist/Dietician capable of formulating and planning diets for all groups of people in hospitals, Schools, Catering Establishment Food Industries, Ministry and Social Welfare Agencies.
- To produce HND graduates that are Nutritionist/Dieticians capable of formulating and planning diets for all group of people in Hospitals, Schools, Catering, Establishments, Food Industries, Ministries and Social Welfare Agencies.
The Department has been headed by the following staff.
